World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option lets players increase the gear rating of an item by up 700 points, and then add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln.
Full Post are worth upgrading due to their distinctive stats. (For instance the perfect rolled breakpoint armor used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, including attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons come with a flat rate bonus that increases damage per second. Many weapons also come with an unaffected bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are equipped in a single unit. In some instances, this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon upgrades by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For instance, a +2 weapon requires two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. Full Post of stones required to upgrade a weapon will continue rise until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the number will be reset to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is generally a good thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to improve their performance. For instance, if you have chests or helms, it will boost its base defense while gloves and belts will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it can sometimes reroll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon will display the new stats it will gain when upgraded and their relative values. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.

Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button on the item menu using the arrows that are circling. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats but it won't reset the weapon's levels or bind to account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the more health you will get from each point. So, it's best to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four fountains in all, and each requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, then anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example the Champion Leathers could be upgraded to +5 defense, allowing you to keep pace with a large group of adversaries in most cold climates, and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, granting you enough protection to withstand an entire raid with a few friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same manner as weapons, so you'll have to focus on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It's also a good idea to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also get some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll typically want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the player, provide an immediate effect for a short period of time. There are five different types of potions, each with specific effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to them.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table, or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. The upgrade price varies depending on the type of potion used and the item's rarity as well as Mark Level.
To upgrade a potion, click right on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at once, and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a poton is upgraded in quality, it will not deteriorate until you use it again or break the bottle within the container it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to change its name.
There were a few changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For example splash potions now have a duration of 0.08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item). The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be utilized in both Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be combined in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion in the cauldron that is filled. This will deplete the potion and refill the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The potion table is now laid out more in line with the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket is a tiny and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also refer to a small ornament or object that serves a purpose, but isn't essential, like a Thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members.
In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players can upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets unlike other items that can be upgraded can be exchanged at any time without losing statistics.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades to trinkets are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. It can be done by players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket has the same level of base as the old trinket however, it will also come with an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
When the old Trinkets are not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players, making them an attractive alternative to gold.
In general players should make upgrades to their highest priority items first. This typically means the top-of-the-line items for their class, then their secondary items and finally, other items of gear they will not be replacing soon (for instance an earring or cloak). It is also important to consider your class's preferred stats when choosing the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player then they should consider upgrading their chest, helm, and shoulders.
Trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will destroy the trinket unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. This means upgrading trinkets is more expensive than other upgrades, yet is still cheaper than purchasing the new one.
